The Sun City Center Emergency Squad provides Basic Life Support, emergency medical services to the community 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
Hillsborough County Fire Rescue provides Advanced Life Support as backup for life-threatening emergencies.
During normal business hours, the Squad also offers Medical Van Transport for wheelchair patients to doctor’s appointments, physical therapy, dialysis, and hospital discharge within Sun City Center.
Appointments must be scheduled at least 24 hours in advance.

Nearby Highlights
Within a short drive, Caloosa residents can enjoy beaches, arts, and well-known Florida attractions.
Beaches & islands – Nearby waterfront areas include Apollo Beach and Bahia Beach. Gulf beaches and islands such as Anna Maria Island and the Bradenton and Sarasota beaches are generally 45–60 minutes away by car.
Arts & entertainment – Downtown Tampa and the Riverwalk, along with venues like the Straz Center for the Performing Arts, are about 30–40 minutes from Caloosa. Sarasota’s arts and dining districts, including St. Armands Circle, are roughly 40–45 minutes to the south.
Theme parks – Busch Gardens Tampa Bay is about a 40-minute drive. Walt Disney World® Resort and the Orlando-area theme parks are roughly 1½ hours away by car.
